Necessary Tools:



1. Philips Screwdriver and possibly a flat or standard screwdriver.




2. Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Wrist Band

Step 1 Ensure that you are dry and are in a dry area.

Step 2 Turn power switch on computer to OFF.

Step 3 Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.

Step 4 Make sure that the wrist strap is grounded.

Step 5 Remove the wrist strap from the bag and you will see that:

-One end of the band terminates with a metal alligator clip.

-The other end of the band has an adjustable elastic, fabric-coated wrist band that that will fit over your wrist.

-The middle section of the band is a coiled ground cord.

Step 6 Snap the cable fastener at the end of the coiled ground cord onto the wrist band.

Step 7 Slip the wrist band firmly around your wrist and tighten for a snug fit.

Step 8 Connect the alligator clip to any metal part of the case or a good ground.
